Hi Brad,
12V is not needed. JP3 should be removed. Otherwise you will be powering from USB and your supply and connecting two power supplies together.
If you are using a PC Power Supply some have a minimum load power.
If the USB is not connected then KFLOP's LEDs will not flash for 3 seconds as KFLOP knows there is no point in waiting for an Flash Recovery Sequence. This is normal.

Duly noted, thanks. We have USB and power connected and it... in Kmotion, it seems the kflop connects for about a second and then shows disconnected again.
And appears the lights are random on off for a couple seconds.
BTW, it still boots just fine with USB only.

Hi Brad,
Well the obvious thing would be to check the +5V supply voltage.
Otherwise it might be a ground loop problem. Is the +5V supply isolated from earth ground?
